Dr. Foye Ikyaator is an Emergency Room Physician and co-founder of Life Savers ER in Houston, TX, where she also serves as Medical Director. Her contributions to medicine and her innovative approach to Emergency Room care have secured her a spot on Essence Magazine’s “Power 100 List” of Influencers, among others. Dr. Ikyaator and her lovely family reside in the Greater Houston area.
Dr. Foye Ikyaator is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, School of Medicine and completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at Emory University in 2012. She is currently a board-certified Emergency Physician in Houston, TX, where she is the co-founder and Medical Director of Life Savers Emergency Room.
Dr. Foye Ikyaator is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin’s School of Medicine and, like all young doctors, she entered the world ready to make an impact and bring lifesaving treatments to her patients. But after completing her residency at Emory University’s Grady Medical School and working fulltime in several emergency rooms around Houston and Atlanta, she quickly realized that the size and broad focus of many Emergency facilities made it difficult to serve her patients with the attention and care that’s critical so critical emergency medicine.
It was then that her and her husband Orseer conceived of an Emergency Room facility that put speed of care and patient satisfaction at the center of their work. In 2015, the couple opening their first ER facility, Life Savers Emergency Room, in Houston. In addition to having the shortest wait times in the area, Life Savers has become known as the emergency facility where patients are treated like family.
In her day to day work, Dr. Ikyaator combines her expertise in Emergency Medicine and her degree in Nutrition Science to give patients suffering from the complications of chronic conditions the nutritional and lifestyle advice they need to better manage their health. Dr. Ikyaator and her staff have become mainstays at local fairs and community events, as they share their message of prevention and early detection with their community and beyond.
