Testing & Observation

Life Savers ER is a freestanding emergency clinic that is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. As part of the full service that we provide, patients have access to on-site testing facilities and can stay for a period of observation if required.

Testing

After taking a medical history your doctor may decide that tests are needed to get a better understanding of your condition. Our clinic is equipped with an in-house laboratory that can provide immediate results. We also have state of the art diagnostic equipment with a specialist radiologist on staff. Testing services including:

• Blood tests and routine labs
• Xray
• CT Scans
• Ultrasound scans

Our testing facilities are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We aim to get all test results back as soon as possible. This allows doctors to provide a faster diagnosis and guide treatment plans.

Observation

In some situations it may be necessary for patients to be monitored for a few hours prior to discharge. This happens in cases such as head trauma accidents, heavy bleeding or for pediatric patients where a few more hours of observation are required. Observation can last anywhere from 2-23 hours. It is carried out to ensure that patients are not discharged too early and that their progress is headed in the right direction.

To avoid unnecessary hospital admissions we have developed an observation program that saves patients thousands of dollars in hospital fees while giving them the comfort of still receiving dedicated medical care.

Payment

We accept all private insurance plans including Aetna, United Health, Humana, Cigna, and BlueCross / BlueShield. We are no longer in network with Medicare, Medicaid and Tricare.
